Sara graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelor’s and master’s degree in 2002. Before joining Averett Financial, LLC, Sara gained 14 years of corporate-level finance and accounting experience, with 10 of those years in the healthcare industry.
Sara met Joe Averett at the public accounting firm where they both began their careers. They now have two children – Adam and Anna – and are long-time members of Christ Chapel Bible Church. Sara volunteers in various roles and projects in the church, as well as annually for Mayfest and throughout the year with the Fort Worth Chapter of the Texas Society of CPAs.
When not serving clients, Sara enjoys developing the best team ever and growing the firm. She's an adventurer at heart, and can be found hiking or camping with her family, zip-lining, kayaking, and riding in hot air balloons. If you’re lucky, you might even see her out on the roads of Fort Worth on her scooter! Sara also loves reading Christian fiction novels and solving jigsaw puzzles.
