Client Service Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients upon arrival into our office
• Answer incoming phone calls for the Firm
• Process incoming requests – phone, faxes, emails, texts, portal uploads, possible others
• Coordinate clients’ drop-off and pick-up of information or completed work
• Process last step of tax returns (finalize for client pick-up, forms needing signatures, payment)
• Schedule client meetings and maintain calendar
• Send client appointment reminders when appropriate
• Respond to client questions and requests for information
• Accept checks and credit card payments from clients
• Handle incoming and outgoing mail

• Generate memos, emails, and reports when appropriate
• Provide administrative support to Averett Financial team as needed
• Prepare mailings periodically throughout the year
• Keep office tidy and items stocked as necessary
• Order/purchase supplies and other items as needed
• Coordinate food for firm gatherings, like order or pick-up lunches, birthdays, etc.
• Assist with client gifts, ideas and purchases
• Assist with client events
• Serve as office administrator on phone system
• Serve as master coordinator of our Firm process workflow software system
• Maintain / Update letterhead, business cards, email signatures for firm conformity
• Other reasonable duties as needed
• Cultivate Firm culture

Tax Manager

Responsibilities
• Reviews tax returns involving complex issues with a focus on returns dealing with individuals, partnerships, corporations, pass through entities, estates, including multi state taxation
• Prepare tax projections and other tax planning strategies
• Review responses to tax notices prior to sending to IRS
• Research increasingly complex tax issues using internet research services
• Look for opportunities to provide additional services to clients
• Use research services to increase technical knowledge and provide valuable services to clients
• Assist with special projects, as needed
• Participate in process improvement and team development
• Assist in training and development of staff
• Other reasonable job duties as needed
• Cultivate Firm culture
• Follow all Firm policies and procedures
• Allocate workflow between the staff

Role Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Master’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred, not required)
• CPA eligible or plan to pursue CPA; certification is required for advancement
• Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Strong project management skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
• Ability to learn new software tools used by the Firm
• Experience with Thomson Reuters CS Suite, including UltraTax (preferred, not required)
• Experience managing teams of at least 3-5 people

Senior Tax Accountant

Responsibilities
• Prepare tax returns involving complex issues and with a focus on returns dealing with individuals, partnerships, corporations, pass through entities, estates, including multi state taxation
• Prepare tax returns involving complex issues and with a focus on returns dealing with individuals, partnerships, corporations, pass through entities, estates, including multi state taxation
• Review tax returns prepared by staff, as needed
• Prepare tax projections and other tax planning strategies
• Respond to tax notices
• Research increasingly complex tax issues using internet research services
• Look for opportunities to provide additional services to clients
• Use research services to increase technical knowledge and provide valuable services to clients
• Assist with special projects, as needed
• Participate in process improvement and team development
• Assist in training and development of staff
• Other reasonable job duties as needed

Role Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• Master’s degree in Accounting or related field (preferred, not required)
• CPA eligible or CPA desired; certification is required for advancement
• Prior experience in Senior-level role reviewing staff prepared returns
• Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent written and oral communications skills
• Strong project management skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook
• Ability to learn new software tools used by the Firm

Tax Accountant 

Responsibilities
•Prepare tax returns including individuals, partnerships, corporations, pass through entities, estates and trusts, including multi state taxation.
•Prepare tax estimates and projections
•Respond to tax notices
•Research increasingly complex tax issues to provide valuable services clients and increase technical knowledge
•Service oriented and client focused by understanding each clients unique situation and always looking for ways to provide additional services and value.
•Assist with special projects and other reasonable job duties as needed
•Participate in process improvement and team development
•Cultivate Firm culture
•Follow all Firm policies and procedures


Role Requirements
•Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
•Although a designation is not required for this position, certification is required for advancement
•Team orientation and strong interpersonal skills
•Excellent written and oral communications skills
•Strong project management, time management, and multi-tasking skills
•Ability to learn new software tools used by the Firm

Accountant 

Responsibilities
• Work with monthly accounting services clients, recording entries in the general ledger
• Reconciling bank and credit accounts
• Review general ledger for accuracy
• Review monthly financials for reasonableness
• Propose and create reclass entries as needed
• Comfortable working in QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop
• Work with tax team to help identify expenses and transactions that might impact tax return
• Prepare quarterly and annual payroll reports
• Client communication
• Willingness to resolve issues using internal and external resources
• Look for opportunities to provide additional services to clients
• Use research services to increase technical knowledge and provide valuable services to clients
• Assist with special projects cross-departmentally, as needed
• Participate in process improvement and team development
• Other reasonable job duties as needed
